Jorja Leap Receives $100,000 Grant
UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs Social Welfare professor Jorja Leap has recently received a $100,000 grant from the California Wellness Foundation to study the lives of gang members and system-involved youth.
Leap, who was recently named to the California Board of State and Community Corrections “Gang Committee,” will use the grant to produce “The Good Lives Study” to understand gang members’ strength and resiliency.
“This money will help fund research that is community-based and meaningful in the best tradition of UCLA Luskin,” Leap said.
